Valentine’s Day is one of my kid’s FAVORITE days at school. I designed a printable Mini Goodie Bag that you can use to fill up with Valentine’s Day treats and toys. Below is a list of supplies that you will need to make the mini bags.
SUPPLIES:
- Printer and Paper
- Scissors or an Exacto Knife, Ruler, and Cutting Mat
- Double-sided Tape (Clear or Wasabi tape with work also)
- Valentine’s Day Goodies and Treats
- Hold punch 1/4″ (optional)
- 1/4″ ribbon (optional)
1. The first step is to print your mini bags from the PDF link below. There is a bonus design in the file (not pictured).
2. Next, use your Exacto knife or scissors to cut along the edges of the Mini Goodie Bag template. Be sure NOT to cut off the tab.
3. After, fold or crease along the white lines leaving the print side on the outside shown in the picture below.
4. Next, we will build the body of the bag and then close the bottom. First, place a line of glue on the tab and connect the tab to the open parallel edge to form a 3-dimensional rectangle.
5. Last, place a line of double-sided tape on the longer bottom flap and fold the Goodie Bag bottom closed. If you used glue, let dry standing up-right for at least 8 hours – this will depend on your glue. Now your Goodie bag is ready to fill up with Valentine’s day treats.
To close the bag, I cut a rectangular hole and insert a ribbon, and tied a simple knot to keep the treats in.
